What are we going to do today Brain?

Why, take over the world of course Pinky.

I did somewhat jokingly ask if, after the New York Times, Le Monde would be next. Well not quite, but yesterday I had a few minutes of fame on BBC Radio 5 Live.

The debate was based on The North South divide in Britain, but as often it morphed into a more general debate on where people had moved to. I sent a Tweet telling the broadcasting legend that is Peter Allen that I was in Mauritania, and very soon I was contacted, and managed to have a chat live on air with him. He was happy to have spoken to someone in the Sahara, and I was equally happy to have a chat with my favourite radio presenter on my favourite radio station.

Lo and behold, the interview finished, all well and good, a very short while later I received an email asking if I’d be interested in doing a radio piece on “A day in the life of some old fat bloke in the desert,” which I agreed to do post haste.

If it ever comes to fruition I shall announce the date/time its to be played.

Le Monde? Perhaps!!
