Context

It’s only a small word, seven letters, but it can be such a powerful one.

My family and myself are going through a pretty tough time at the moment, nothing I’m going to publish for the world to see, but suffice to say there is some real suffering and heartbreak occurring.

This morning I climbed onto the roof of the office here in Nouakchott to have a look around the city, and I saw a woman, presumably a mother, bathing her two children.

In a puddle, on the side of a busy road.

Whilst my problems are still there, they have been put into context.

  1. I’m sorry to learn that your family is having a tough time, and I hope you can work your way through it.
